Logitech Update Error for Non-Administrators

Description – When logging into a computer with the Logitech SetPoint software installed you receive an error that says, “Sorry, you must have Administrator privileges to complete this task.”

 

Solution – Prevent access to the update executable file.

1.     Browse to C:\Program Files\Logitech\SetPoint

2.     Right click LogitechUpdate.exe & select Properties.

3.     Select the Security tab.

4.     From here you have two options. You can either Deny the Users group Read & Execute or remove the Users group all-together.
